Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements. We reserve the right to keep (not delete) any experiment data that you made “public” through the App or to which you provided us the rights. TRANSFER OF DATA INTERNATIONALLY

If you are using the App from outside the US, please be aware that you are sending information (including personal data) to the United States where the servers we use are located. Our server providers and/or our staff operating within the US may process this information. The information may then be transferred within the United States or back out of the United States to other countries outside of your country of residence, depending on the type of information and how we store it. These countries (including the United States) may not necessarily have data protection laws as comprehensive or protective as those in your country of residence; however, our collection, storage and use of your personal data will at all times continue to be governed by this Privacy Policy.

BY SUPPLYING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO US YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE TO THE TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OUT OF THE EEA, AND TO THE

PROCESSING OF YOUR INFORMATION IN THE U.S., SUBJECT TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY.

FUTURE FUNCTIONALITY

We may collect other data in the future depending on what functionality you and other users would like. (We’d love your input on that, by the way!) We may provide some of the future functionality in exchange for the rights to your experimental data. If this becomes the case, you will opt-in to such an exchange. Regardless, we wanted to give you advanced insight into potential additions to this Privacy Policy.

Timers and Reminders

We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including

your mobile device’s reminders, and other features. You would be able to disable this in your device’s settings.

Media and Sensor Input

As part of your experiments’ data-acquisition (e.g., taking a picture of the experiment, recording the barometric pressure), we may request access to your device’s photo roll, camera, microphone, or sensors in order for us to upload and use that information in the App. You would be able to disable this in your device’s settings.

Recommendations based on Geolocation

We don’t particularly care where you are, but knowing your location could allow the App to make recommendations based on altitude, shopping availability, and more. It will also help us know if there are any location-specific improvements we need to make (e.g., language, server support).

Expanded 3rd Party Authentication Permissions

If you choose to sign in using a 3rd Party authentication (e.g., Google account), in addition to the basic information, we may request access to other permissions related to your account, such as friends, check-ins, and likes, and you may choose to grant or deny us access to each individual permission.

Collaboration with Other Users

If we add the functionality to the App that would give you the ability to collaborate on experiments with other users, then we would share information and data relevant to those experiments with the other users. It is possible this could include personally-identifiable information depending on what functionality is included.

Connecting to Social Networks

If you connect your account to a social network, we may request access to permissions related to your account, such as friends, check-ins, and likes, and you may choose to grant or deny us access to each individual permission. This information may also include the contact information of anyone you invite to use and/or join the App.

Notifications

We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or the App. You would be able to disable this in your device’s settings.

Contests, Giveaways, and Surveys

We may ask for personal and other information when entering contests or giveaways and/or responding to surveys.

YOUR CONSENT

By using the App or our website, you consent to our privacy policy.
